Millimeter wave sensor

Customization of sensing range and total proposals including peripheral components.

A next-generation high-performance sensor that achieves high-precision detection with millimeter waves, compact and excellent in environmental resistance. Millimeter wave sensors are advancing in technological innovation, particularly in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), but they are also gaining attention for their outstanding accuracy and resolution beyond automotive applications. Currently, millimeter wave radar in the 76-77 GHz and 78-81 GHz bands is only adopted for automotive radar systems due to Japanese regulations (standards), but it is expected to be adopted in non-automotive applications in the future. Glowill proposes customized designs for industrial equipment based on the technology developed for sensors in the 24 GHz and 77 GHz bands used in automotive millimeter wave radar. We have many industrial equipment manufacturers that we collaborate with on power supplies and electronic components, making us an ideal consultation partner for considering millimeter wave sensors for industrial equipment. In fact, some of our customers are already beginning to explore the deployment of frequency bands intended for automotive use into industrial equipment. If you are considering millimeter wave sensors for industrial equipment, please feel free to consult with us. First, click on this URL♪ ↓ ↓ ↓

Introducing examples of the adoption of monitoring sensors in living spaces!

It is possible to reduce the burden of monitoring tasks in welfare facilities and implement safety measures for solo work. Here are examples of monitoring in the living spaces of disability welfare facilities.

In this case, while we wanted to confirm movements and the presence of falls in the room that could not be fully captured by bed sensors, there was a background of difficulty in installing cameras due to privacy protection concerns, so we utilized "MotionCatch." We installed millimeter-wave sensors in the room and are conducting notifications and monitoring through a PC browser management screen and a smartphone app. Main effects (in this case) 1. Reduction in nighttime patrol frequency Since the situation in the room can be checked via PC and smartphone, it has led to a reduction in excessive patrols. 2. Increased sense of security from being able to understand the room's situation By being able to grasp the sleeping state and signs of getting out of bed or wandering, the sense of security in monitoring has improved. 3. Utilization as material for recording and reflection Sleep reports related to breathing and heart rate could be used as materials when creating care plans. *The content of this page is based on operational examples in facilities. The effects obtained may vary depending on the installation environment and operational methods.

Biometric millimeter-wave sensor "miRadar(tm)8《VSM》"

Due to the radar method, multiple people's biometric information (heart rate, respiration) can be detected non-contact! It is suitable for personnel detection and flow management inside buildings, as well as health condition management in nursing facilities.

The 24GHz radar-based vital sign monitoring (VSM) system, realized through Sakura Tech's proprietary MIMO FMCW radar module and software for VSM, can monitor the heart rate and respiration of multiple subjects over an extended period without making contact with them. ■ Features - Vital information detection system using the 24GHz MIMO radar "miRadar8" - Non-contact detection of vital information (heart rate and respiration) for multiple individuals. - Measurement through clothing and bedding without infringing on privacy. - Simultaneous measurement of multiple targets possible due to MIMO-FMCW method (covering a range of ±45 degrees) - High sensitivity measurement enabled by the adoption of a high-performance chipset (Analog Devices) ● Advantages of the radar method - Non-contact measurement possible - Penetrates clothing and bedding - No brightness restrictions during measurement - No privacy infringement (as it does not use camera images) - Follows the movement of the measurement target For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.
